Incostas participates in the outfall study, as part of the “Rainwater drainage and sanitary of the Guajimía creek and its main tributaries”. The purpose of this study was the performance of complimentary oceanographic measurements and the design development of the outfall.
Guajimía creek is located at the west sector of the Santo Domingo city, capital of the Dominican Republic. This creek is surrounded by poor neighborhoods with a dense population living without basic sanitary services. The waterway have become scavenger, blocking the flow and cause flooding during the rainy season, creating a dangerous situation for the health of the resident and important damages to the local environment.
Determine the design parameters for submarine discharge pipe. Define the optimal alignment for the outfall. Locate the final discharge point of the tributary. Model mathematically, to estimate the degree of dilution and dispersion that could be obtain with the new submarine discharge at the studied distances from the coast. Specify the geotechnical and geophysical study of the seabed. Specify the geotechnical and geophysical study of the seabed. Recommendations for outfall installation (material, type of support, type of protection, levels that ensure the outfall stability, etc.). Development of basic and detail engineering.
Bathymetry, Currents Measurement. Geophysical Survey, Tide Measurements. Studies of fecal coliform dispersion. Establishment and conclusion related to storm periods and its recurrence for the laying and/or burial submerged outfall. Establishment of the depth and longitude of the discharge pipeline portion that have to be buried and technical details for its installation and coating. Constructive methods specifications.
Doppler current meter. Meteorological station. Side Scan Sonar. Sub Bottom Profiler.
